A good way to make sure that you<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t gain too much weight is to remember that you only need<br \/>\nan additional 300 calories each day while you&#8217;re pregnant.<br \/>\nTherefore, in total, you should be eating about 1,900 to<br \/>\n2,500 calories each day, depending on your height. The last<br \/>\nthing that you want to do is gain too much weight since this<br \/>\ncan put a strain on your pregnancy as well as make it harder<br \/>\nfor you to get into shape after the birth of your baby.<\/p>\n<p>Also the extra 300 calories that you have to take more<br \/>\nshould comprise wholly of fatty foods but rather well<br \/>\nbalanced food. You should take foods like non fat yogurt,<br \/>\nwholegrain toast and peanut butter, fruit salads topped with<br \/>\nyogurt, or low fat granola with skim milk.<\/p>\n<p>By focusing on what you eat, and combining that with an<br \/>\nexercise routine that stretches and tones your body, you&#8217;ll<br \/>\nbe able to make sure that you have a healthy pregnancy from<br \/>\nconception to delivery. Your doctor will be able to give you<br \/>\nadvice at your regular appointments that is specific to your<br \/>\npregnancy, since every woman is different.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to take care of your mental health while you&#8217;re<br \/>\npregnant. It&#8217;s just as important for you to remain<br \/>\nemotionally healthy, since the way you feel is often<br \/>\nreflected in what you eat.
