Luckily most of these things only cause short bouts<br \/>\nof insomnia and most people return to normal in a<br \/>\nrelatively short amount of time.<\/p>\n<p>If you suffer from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.best-home-remedies.com\/nervous_system\/insomnia.htm\">insomnia<\/a> , make sure you are not<br \/>\ndrinking caffeine or alcohol or smoking before bedtime.<br \/>\nAlso avoid taking long naps during the day. Lavender oil is quite calming.<br \/>\nYoga and deep breathing help to quiet the mind. Warm milk<br \/>\nmay also help. If all else fails and you do wind up laying<br \/>\nin bed unable to sleep, simply get up.
