Home Remedies To Clean Floor Tile

You should properly clean your floor tiles on a regular basis in order to help increase the life span of them. Some safer home remedies can be used that provide you with a natural alternative to harsh products sold in stores.

These are often preferred because they are cheaper to use as well. They can help prevent you from damaging your surfaces as would have happened if you used harsher solutions.

These are recommended for most everyday and periodic cleaning projects. They can be used in nearly every room of the home.

Reasons for Uses

One reason why the right home remedy is recommended is because it more than likely will not leave behind residue once the cleaner is dried. More importantly, no harmful fumes and chemicals will be emitted to your home, and thus a home solution is safer Disadvantage your entire family (or for you if you are single).

Dish soap-This is a very inexpensive alternative to way harsher cleaning solutions that can be used on several types of floors. It requires mixing 2 quarts of water with about 1 tbsp of dish soap. You can then add baking soda and vinegar into this solution if you want to make your dish soap solution more abrasive.

Be careful only using perhaps only about at the very most ¼ to ½ cup of the vinegar and only about a tbsp or so of the baking soda (enough to create an abrasive scrubbing action). Wipe this solution with your mop. Then, let the tile dry after you clean it.

Baking soda-This product mixed into a thick paste using water can clean many surfaces. The baking soda that you use should be mixed with about 2 quarts of water. Use about 1 cup of the baking soda in the water. You should notice a “fizzing” action take place similar to the way antacid dissolves in water. This is a detergent action similar to that of other mild cleaners but with less chemicals that helps remove dried-on stains.

Vinegar-This is a substance that helps kill bacteria and/or other infections agents. It can be used on both kitchen and bathrooms and can be mixed in varying concentrations depending upon the reason of use. You can mix about 2 quarts of water and 1 cup of vinegar into a bucket and then you can also add the baking soda. The baking soda along with the vinegar can help remove the more stubborn stains and the vinegar alone can help disinfect most surface areas.
